Project Overview

Project Overview

Hands Lifting Hearts Initiatives Society (HLH) is proud to launch Strengthening African, Black, and Caribbean Families: Preventing Family Violence through Community-Led Support. This community-driven project aims to prevent family violence within African, Black, and Caribbean (ABC) families, newcomers, and refugees in Alberta. Through culturally responsive education, mentorship, skill-building, and economic empowerment initiatives, we seek to foster healthy relationships, improve communication, and strengthen family units.

Our vision is to build resilient, violence-free families by engaging fathers, mothers, youth, and the broader community in safe and supportive spaces.
